Kirknewton Easter Week starts here

It’s Easter in Kirknewton and Potter Around and the Yarnbombers have been spreading some cheer around the village.

We helped deliver 32 packages last week from the Kirknewton shop and after our website post on Friday 17 of you ordered Veg Bags from the Cyrenians. Find out more here

Remember there is a free gift for the kids to keep them (and adults) busy during Easter and the next few weeks as part of the Kirknewton History Project. More details here and, if drawing isn’t for you, we’d love your Kirknewton life stories and to hear any history stories you have here.

KIRKNEWTON PHARMACY UPDATE

Hi folks, some of you may have noticed that we are now operating an intercom system at the door of the pharmacy to help protect our staff and community. If you need to collect your medication or buy anything please let someone know via the intercom and staff member will bring it to the door. We are currently working on solutions for banking and bill payments at the post office.
If you need some advice or a private consultation please phone us and we can deal with your concerns. We can even video call back via WhattsApp or Skype should that be necessary. If you then need any medication we can then have that prepared to avoid any unnecessary waiting.
Can we encourage anyone wishing to order medication to phone us rather than handing in repeat slips as this will reduce the risk to both you and us. Details of ordering online from East Calder are here https://eastcaldermedicalpractice.secure-gpsite.scot.nhs.uk…
and remember to ask for them to be marked for collection by Kirknewton Pharmacy so we can have them ready for you.
Please also encourage at risk groups and elderly family/neighbours to make use of our delivery and we will be more than happy to oblige.

EAST CALDER MEDICAL CENTRE

Just a quick message to let you know that we will be opening East Calder Medical Centre from 8am to 6pm on Good Friday and Easter Monday to deal with any urgent medical problems to support our out of hours and secondary care colleagues.  Please call 01506 882882 in first instance.
