We are counting down to #GivingTuesday – after the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping book of cyber Monday this is an international opportunity to come together and give something back locally.
You can do this in a variety of ways over the weekend for Kirknewton;
Sell or buy online at the Kirknewton – things for sale, free or wanted facebook group this Black Friday/Cyber Monday https://www.facebook.com/groups/796101490458139/ and make a donation.
Tell us what volunteering you a…lready do and/or would like to do at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/skillsandvolunteers – or fill out the survey in the latest Kirknewton News
Buy your food waste bags at the Kirknewton Shop for all that winter food waste – the bag tax will also be coming back to the village too throughout November/December
Join in the Procession and Lighting of the Kirknewton Christmas Tree on Sunday at 5pm from Meadowbank Road and support as many of the Kirknewton Christmas Festival events you can https://www.facebook.com/events/205967893077321/
Donate before or on #GivingTuesday by phone to 70070 and message KCDT01 followed by a donation of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. Larger donations can be by BACS – just e mail firstname.lastname@example.org for information. Funds go to our youth projects. Find out more on the blog at https://kirknewton.wordpress.com/…/how-you-can-help-young-…/
KCDT will be giving free tea, coffee, café latte, cappuccino, special hot chocolate at the Green Room as a #GivingTuesday random act of kindness for all your support over the last two years – an ideal time to drop off your KCDT membership forms or surveys that can be found in the latest Kirknewton News and pick up a second hand book for the Festive period https://www.facebook.com/events/1047806748603403/
Thanks again and have a great Kirknewton Christmas Festival
