How much did Kirknewton donate at the fireworks last night?

Big THANK YOU to everyone who attend the fireworks display last night, from organisers Kirknewton Community Development Trust.  Approximately 1000 people attended and you donated £1439.92 into the orange buckets which helps cover the cost of last nights firework display. Thanks.
If you enjoyed the show you can still drop a further donation into the Green Room OR you can text from your mobile to 70070 with the message KCDT01 followed by £1, £2, £4, £5 or £10 (no spaces). Funds go to the next firework display and village projects.
The event came from your ideas as part of the Kirknewton community consultation in 2011, and was funded by the Big Lottery Scotland. Your donations on and after the night will hopefully allow us to do it again in future years.

A few extra special thank you’s – Dave Anderson for offering his time for free planning and firing the fireworks and 21cc for a stunning display and keeping everyone safe.

Stephen Gaved and his team for going beyond the call of duty and organising with Sandy (who also provided his equipment and time for free) the music, PA system and securing the site. Everyone who helped promote the event (numbers estimated at 1000).
Ian and Richard at Festival ‘Hot Chocolate’ Stores for organising refreshments, KCDT staff Zoe and Jennifer and volunteers who gave their time before the day and stewarding on the night – Charles, David, Michael, Katy, Aidan, Peter, Murdo and Stewart.
Apologies to anyone I’ve forgotten who also helped. Everyone involved were stars and gave it 100%.

Finally – thank you to the weather (phew!?!)

People make parties and all I can say is everyone who came along made it a good one! I hope you had a great time and thanks again for showing great community spirit!
